The NHL league-wide shutdown is scheduled to commence on Wednesday. With only two games left on the docket for Tuesday, the prospects of getting in both games before things go on pause were already looking bleak coming into the day.
Early Tuesday afternoon, it was announced that one of the two contests has been postponed, and the other is in danger of being moved as well.

The second game on tonight’s slate (#GoBolts / #VGK) may also be in jeopardy. Sounds like one of the teams is bracing for positive tests.
The Tampa Bay Lightning and Vegas Golden Knights are tentatively scheduled to play at 10 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
With Tuesday's game against the Washington Capitals postponed, no makeup date announced yet and the shutdown on the horizon, the Philadelphia Flyers' next contest is currently scheduled for Dec. 29 at 10 p.m. ET against the Seattle Kraken. The Capitals are next slated to play at 7 p.m. ET on Dec. 27 against the Ottawa Senators.
